Empty Hand originates in the translation of the Japanese word Kara (empty), te (hand), thus Empty Hand=Karate. Traditional Karate is a beautiful, ancient, weapon less art of self-defense. In the practice of karate the mind and body are inseparable: They harmonize with each other.Karate practice is divided into three aspects: Kihon (basics), Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring). Karate can be learned by anyone, regardless of age, physical strength and state. Through karate one unlearns bad habits accumulated through modern life: movement, posture, breathing, as well as mental and psychological obstacles. In Karate there is no first attack.
