Genetic Spin is Simon Towity and Michael Schultz both 22 years of age and from Copenhagen, Denmark. Since the teenage-years they had both been fascinated by and interested in electronic music, playing music mainly drums and bass. Since the first releases and live-gigs, the inspiration has kept coming and the sound has been developing - and now with more live bookings then ever, in all parts of the world, the developing and fine tuning of the sound still escalates. Releases so far have been on labels like Creamcrop, Novatekk, Interzone and Ayahuasca, know releasing their debut album on Creamcrop.
On/Off is the very first but probably not the last album from this dynamic duo, better known as Genetic Spin. The style of the album is progressive, deep and trancey with a clear influence of the Scandinavian sound, hidden deep in the snappy grooves. The production is clear and the sound picture is big, impressive and massive. The 9 trax is a reflecting upon the different styles of the Genetic Spin productions from the last year and represents the absolute cream of this era.
