the Drone cd single (CFR03) is the debut single for this new and very promising project from Thessaloniki, Greece. Drone have previously released two tracks "Contagious" and "Sublife Crises" featured on compilations by Candyflip and Loopsnoo Records respectively.
The project consists of Kostas Moshovas, George Kokkinos (Gio Red) and Dimitris Maglaris (Tachyon). The Drone single features four new and previously unreleased tracks including a Remix of the "Contagious" track by the well known artist, Igneous Sauria. The running time of the single is 32.46.
Drone present the cream of their work with three powerful night-time deep psy techno-trance stompers in their unique style, creating a dark haunting yet dancefloor-friendly atmosphere. The rolling bassline is accompanied by heavy but groovy tribal percussion. Igneous Sauria, with releases on labels such as Creamcrop and Flying Rhino, delivers a superb remix of "Contagious" filled with the Igneous dark sound effects giving a totally new identity to the track. The Drone single is an essential tool for any serious DJ set aiming at the darker hours.
