Details

This compilation is an introduction to the sound of the labels "Exogenic Records" and "Exogenic Breaks Records (EBR)". CD 1 contains EBR material, drum & bass, breakbeat, dub and other genres are represented. CD 2 contains the trance sound of Exogenic. The background of the artists is as varied as the music; some are professional musicians who have released many albums, while others are releasing their music for the first time. If you are interested in more detailed information about the musicians please visit our web page at (www.exogenic.com) for more information. CD 1 presents a mix of music for the daytime and starts with the moist morning track "Polski" from Koneveljet. "Mellow Yellow" is a track for lazy days from trance duo GAD. Mac Mavis takes us to experimental soundscapes from which we gradually progress to the more urban sounds of Slomotion Airlines and Bubble Scum. The only foreign band on this compilation, Danish dub/techno outfit Banzai Republic, finnish the afternoon together with "Sheepflock Roadblock" by Maha Ketama. CD 2 continues with music for the nighttime. Stanley kicks off with their track "Lungdrumma". Few dancefloors can resist the seductive north-eastern sounds of "7 brothers" by James Reipas or the raw power of "Headache" by Eraser. Texas Faggott, who have recently released their outstanding debut album on Psy-Harmonics, lighten up the mood with "Humour Tumour". Midiliitto-"Pellon Laitaan" brings us gently to the early morning again and we are ready to face a new day!
