High Five - 5 Years of Blue Tunes Records

In January 2006 Blue Tunes launched its first compilation. Five years and more than 50 releases later the catalogue of the North German label reads like a history book about the evolution of contemporary Progressive Trance Based on an avant-garde approach, it were always the most talented artists at the time whose work was presented while in a musical respect a skilful balancing act between classical, Trance-orientated productions and modern, electroid influences was realized. Thus also the concept of the 5th anniversary compilation represents a literally Progressive approach. 'High Five' is actually a musical High Ten because the CD includes ten brand new, previously unreleased titles. Beside already well known names from the Blue Tunes environment the tracklist includes also some exciting newcomers. With a range of sound reaching from solid Progressive to sleek Nu School to sea-deep Chill Out, the available release gives a versatile, vivid and up-to-date impression of the label's activities.
