Elixir

The much anticipated second album from Kaya Project, following on from the well received debut Walking Through, released in 2004 Elixir is situated at the nexus point between world beat and organic electronica, with tight arrangements of authentic source material recorded by Kaya Project on travels through India, Thailand, and at home in London with respected world musicians. Elixir is an album that is ideal for bars, cafes, lounges, dj’s, festivals, entertaining, chilling out, yoga practitioners, healers, spas and personal environments. Written and produced by Sebastian Taylor – one half of Angel Tears, also known and widely respected worldwide for his work and touring as Digitalis and Shakta. Tracks by Angel Tears and Kaya Project have been licensed to Buddha Bar compilations; Elixir has a wider appeal than just to the psy trance scene. Source material for Elixir was recorded in sessions in Mumbai, and Rajasthan – bringing the album further beyond the realm of looped samples that are available to everyone. Elixir features 2 notable collaborations: a remix of the track Salaam, by Irina Mikhailova, and a dub of a track that Seb wrote with Turkish ney master Omar Farouk Teklibek.
