Every so often, reference is being made to dance being dead, or rock being healthy. It implies the two things have an inverse relationship. It's an old myth and non-sense let's face it. One example against this logic is Happy Mondays, LCD Soundsytem and… progressive music! A style where many influences can melt together and influence each other. A genre where rock guitar riffs, vocals or electrifying attitude can melt with an accurate trance uplifting energy or a sensual house layer. If we join a minimalist approach or the glitchy sonic passion out there one understands that this is a land with of freedom to express music wise. One fact: it has become increasingly difficult over the last few years to imagine electronic music landscape without the crossover ideals. The Portuguese label Digital Oracle gets in touch with it in its latest release. Based around Lisbon - one Europe's most exciting cities to discover new music - the label continues its progression into merging music trends. On "Beat Delight", Digital Oracle provides a full eclectic progressive dance floor mash up. Beckers "Colour Me Blind" electro led sets the pace and Brisker and Magitman weaves through the throbbing beats of its "Recharge". Bristling atmospheres with Luke Chable reworking of Shiloh's "Dream On" and attention grabbing groove from Freq over Frogacult's "All Seasons". Real ear-openers include Beckers "Rhythm Junk", Criss Source and Marc O'Toll "Retrospective", Beat Bizarre "Can't Wait" and Minilogue aka Son Kite "The Girl from Botany Bay" keeps the listener griped to the very last note.
