Having joined Plusquam this year by releasing the 'Resonate' single Steve Good aka Double Dragon now presents the follow up album "Transparent". Being Steve's second solo album after the first release on Phantasm Records, the Japan based producer gives a streamlined performance of psy-trance rhythms. Building sound textures are mapped out in eastern minimal aesthetic form, layering and driving trance in additive sequences. Keeping the focus of Transparent on essential elements, tracks gradually gear up into a determined flow of increasing momentum. In 'Bong' or 'Echo' percussive elements are added sequentially to the scene, with changing leads and FX loops reaching ever higher planes. Never missing a moment, the tracks lead from psychedelic soundscapes into progressive builds that function well together on the dancefloor. Finishing the album 'Dice' is a massive tune to reckon with, powerful morning trance with tight grooves and a feverish pace. The eastern influence fits Double Dragon's line of sound: refined beats of precise audio engineering and interchanging themes melt into an omnipotent mix of transcendental experiences.
