Working in the same way that a DJ works on a dancefloor, AOA is an
improvised jam unit from Japan, based on the core members of Boredoms
bassist Hilah, Boredoms drummer/session percussionist E-Da, Tribal
Circus's Miya (FX weirdness/live mix/guitar), Soft's
drummer/electronics operator Shinkichi, DJ Tateyamars
(programming/sound FX) and session guitarist (Pizzicato 5 etc.) Bravo
Komatsu PLUS a virtually unlimited number of orbiting weirdbeards and
musical luminaries.
'Emotion Vacation' captures their freeform improv that sounds so
structured and purposeful, yet totally anarchic is rare, this makes AOA
diamonds in the ruff of so called genre of freeform psychedelic
electronica....recorded in Melbourne, Australia, engineered by Simon
