Sunsaria (formerly Psyburbia) is the alias of multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Baz Bardoe. From his secret base in the remote desert plains of North-west Victoria, Sunsaria delivers a knockout blow of spaced out downtempo diversity with his new album 'Australien'. 'Australien' harkens back to a golden age of electronic music when artists such as The Orb, Massive Attack and Future Sound of London were producing their masterpieces. Musicianship and organic sounds mesh with synthesis and samples under a canopy of psychedelic chilled electronica. Sunsaria draws on space rock, hip hop beats, ambient music and pop, bringing a filmic soundscape sensibility to his spacey downtempo grooves. Take a rare aural journey to the great warehouse party in the sky, via all the chill-out rooms, forest raves and loungeroom DJ sets you've ever visited in an alternative dimension. On this album, Sunsaria is joined by long time collaborator Robert Boehm (aka Bo from Melbourne electronic dub icons Winduptoys) contributing as musician, sound engineer & co-producer. Other guests and collaborations include singer /songwriter Lulea, internationally renowned techno experimentalist Robin Rimbaud (aka Scanner), trance avatar Rip Van Hippy, flautist Megan Kenny, and FX wizard Jeremy Smith (other half of Winduptoys). Most recently he has worked with former Ragewar bandmate Rebecca Coates.
