Spiral Trax proudly presents two remixes from titans of the Techno scene: AudioStorm has achieved critical acclaim with a wide range of releases from Progressive House and Techno to Chill-Out and Indie Dance. Hailing from Podgorica, Montenegro By the beginning of the 90s, Ognjen aka AudioStorm became inspired by the pioneering electronic bands of the burgeoning underground dance scene and in particular the music from Goa, India. Psy Trance as it became known was for AudioStorm a diverse, forward thinking, adventurous mix of eastern and western cultures and new and older sounds. A melting pot of possibilities. Listening to this music, he became obsessed with exploring more and discovered the sounds of DJs Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Circulation, Deep Dish, Silicon Soul, Darren Emerson, John Digweed, Sasha, Pete Tong, Danny Howels, Satoshie Thomy, Sander Kleinenberg, Dave Seaman, Sven Vath, Swayzak, The Timewriter, Terry Lee Brown Jr, Terry Francis, Anthony Pappa. He balances the EDM world with his passion for contemporary music bands like Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Joy Division, The Doors, The Cure, Phil Collins, Sting, Simply Red, Depeche Mode, Stone Roses, Pet Shop Boys, Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Jean Mishel Jarre & Mike Oldfield. His music played & supported by: Hernan Cattaneo, Richie Hawtin, Nick Warren, Erick Morillo, Thievery Corporation, Robert Babich, Dave Seaman, Guy J, Oliver Shories, Marco Carola, Above & Beyond, Matt Darey, Sander Kleinenberg, Marko Nastic, James Zabiela, Michael Woods, John 00 Fleming, Max Graham, Solarstone, Omid 16B, Marcus Schulz, Cid Inc, Marcelo Vasami, Fernando Ferreyra, Soundexile, Darin Epsilon, KINTAR and many others. Audiostorm has chart topping releases on these leading labels & many more: Sudbeat, Bonzai, System, Baroque, Movement, Sound Avenue, Balkan Connection, Stripped, Mistique Music, Dopamine Music, Power House, Spiral Trax. Villa Violet aka Datacult aka Marco Scherer is no newcomer to the vast world of electronic music production. While keeping himself busy with sound-design jobs for Loopmasters, Digidesign, ReFX, Tone2 and fully exercising his creative, technical muscles, he also produces beats and bars under the well-known names Datacult and Meller. His creations come in many forms spanning from staunch techno through to his own brand of 'trippy trance' released through a plethora of labels such as John Fleming's Joof Recordings, Per-Vurt and Shabulized, Ovnimoon Records, Power House and more. But he doesn't limit his efforts to production and djing only, one does sometimes wonder how deep this creative mine of his is, and since 2010 readers of the German Beat magazine get regularly funneled more of his energy through articles about sound-design and workshops. Although Marco Scherer is not a name that's commonly associated with the new breed of electronica and dance producers circulating for the last couple of years, he's no novice when it comes to production and has highly honed skill within the studio.
