Contemporary Progressive Trance includes pretty different ideas.
On the one hand, there is the Trance aspect of course, which aims the mind of the listener and creates very psychedelic and surreal effects. On the other hand, the Progressive aspect of this genre nowadays also stands for modern, straight and functional sounds, aiming the body and featuring a certain touch of casual coolness.
The already forth studio album of Vaishiyas crosses bridges between these two ideas in a pretty elegant and subtle way: Carefully quoting and playing around with recent influences and trends, the 10 tracks on this release feature a varied mixture, are up-to-date and never sound stale. Nevertheless, they still keep a distinct focus on the original Trance aspect and create vast soundscapes that invite the mind to expand into their depths and float away.
